The annual Soule' Live Steam Festival and Meridian Railfest will take place on Saturday November 1st in Meridian, Mississippi. The Soule' festival feature vintage steam engines in their original industrial application at the Soule' Steam works in downtown Meridian. Admission to the steam operations building is $3.00.

Across the street at the historic Meridian Union Station and REA Building is the annual Railfest event that will include a variety of activities. The outdoor train show will have a variety of vendors selling new and used model trains, books, collectibles and assorted railroad related items. The HO layout of the Meridian Model RR Club will be operating throughout the day inside the REA Building.

Norfolk Southern and/or KCS provide several pieces of prototype equipment and locomotives for public viewing. The museum's permanent display equipment will be open to the public, as well.
