How to Get Started in Operations
SER Education Chair Owen Maddux presents his third webinar of 2021, How to Get Started in Operations.
Children are fascinated by trains. They want to see toy trains run in a circle around the Christmas tree or on a plywood sheet sitting on saw horses. When they grow up, they a build layout and watch their trains run through beautiful mountains and past a handmade depot. Then after a while, they want to operate their trains just like the real ones.
Operations can be as simple as running trains on a schedule, or more challenging with switchlists, swapping cars with other trains, or simulating a part of a nationwide transportation system with a group of friends.
Eric Smith of the Operations Special Interest Group (OPSIG) will show you how to get started in operations. Eric will present his clinics at two times:
Wednesday March 3, 2021 at 7:30pm EST/6:30 CST
Monday March 8, 2021 at 7:30pm EST/6:30 CST
How to Get Started in Operations will be held via Zoom.
