Smokey Mountain

Smokey Mountain Division 12 consists of 62 NMRA members living in East Tennessee. Division activities consist of four social dinners yearly.

Mark your calendars for Thursday night, April 6 for our next meet/greet/eat gathering at the Bass Pro Shop back-room grill.  We will begin at 6:00p.m.  Order from their excellent menu when you arrive.  No need to wait for the late arrivals.

Bass Pro Shop is located just north of the I-40 exit for Gatlinburg/Sevierville/Kodak.  See map: Google Maps
Be sure to bring your latest project for the show-and-tell session.

We are fortunate to have W. A. Jerry Clothier as a guest.  He has agreed to tell us some:

Secrets from an Industry Model Builder

Jerry had dream jobs where he got paid to build models.  He worked at NASA, TVA, and others and was able to use his modeling skills to shorten and economize many large construction projects.  He knows the Plastruct Catalog well.  Now retired, Jerry still builds models for relaxation and is a member of the ship-modeling group that meets monthly in the back room of Hobby Town in Knoxville/Turkey Creek.  Jerry plans to bring some show-and-tell of his own.

Congratulations to Larry Burkholder for accepting the SER Education Committee Chairmanship that Peter Youngblood held for many years.

May all your set outs be trailing point.
